Approximately 80% of our operators allow alcohol onboard; however, this can vary based on your destination and the regulations of each locality your journey touches. During the reservation process with CharterUP, you have the opportunity to specify that you’re seeking a bus that permits alcohol. We’ll then work to match you with an operator that accommodates your needs while ensuring compliance with all local laws.

Please note, for the safety and cleanliness of the vehicle, it’s recommended to use canned drinks and plastic cups, as most providers do not allow kegs or glass bottles. Additionally, a deposit or cleaning fee may be required to cover potential messes. If underage passengers are onboard, certain conditions, including the presence of chaperones, must be met to prevent underage drinking in accordance with state laws, such as California’s bill AB 45. While CharterUP requires one payment method on file for both the deposit and the reservation, we’ve designed our booking process with group travel in mind. Only 10 percent of the total cost is due at booking, providing ample time to coordinate payment among your group. Additionally, the reservation details can be shared with all participants, clearly displaying the final price of the reservation. This allows everyone involved to see the cost upfront and plan accordingly to pool funds and provide them to the cardholder before the trip. Our approach ensures the payment process is as streamlined and stress-free as the journey itself.

Simply input your travel details and our platform will generate real-time pricing and availability from our network of hundreds of bus operators across the U.S. From there, you can compare vehicles, prices, operator reviews, on-time performance, safety records, and amenities all in one place. Once you’ve selected the bus that best fits your needs, you can book your reservation and receive confirmation right away.

Once you’ve found the perfect bus for your trip and accepted a quote, you will be directed to a payment page to confirm your reservation. At that time, a deposit of 10% will be due to secure your booking. The confirmation screen will also show the date by which the remainder of the payment is due. We require a valid credit card to be on file to secure a reservation.

At CharterUP, we understand that sometimes plans change, and we’re here to help make any adjustments as smooth as possible. While it’s always best to finalize your itinerary in advance, we know that there are many moving pieces involved in travel, and we’re happy to work with you to make any necessary changes or cancellations. Changes can only be made up to 3 days before your trip.

CharterUP also offers a flexible refund policy:

• 100% refund: Cancellations 30 days or more from pickup
• 90% refund: Cancellations between 29 days and 72 hours from pickup
• No refund: Cancellations fewer than 72 hours from pickup

*All refund percentages are based on the total amount of the booked trip.
